It has been 10 years since Akihiro has taken over his family business, keeping his promise after changing his mind at becoming a professional surfer. He is always in good spirit with a big smile on his face whenever seen in the ocean, though he no longer is able to freely surf and travel to the North Shore in the winter at his leisure. Akihiro Dodo is the best local surfer in Kaifu — you can find him riding tubes at first light, catching his 3 waves during his 30 minute lunch break, surfing until you can’t see the waves after work, or paddling in on half of a broken board on a big day… you’ll always see him when the waves are good at Kaifu.
