303(スリーオースリー)は1983年、街に小さなサーフショップ、海辺に小さな工房を構えて、純国産ハンドメイドのサーフボード作りを始めました。 いろいろな波質がブレイクする四国海部周辺は、サーフボードを作りテストするのにベストな環境があり、やがてショップにはサーフィンを楽しむ人たちが集い、工房には四国の波に魅せられたサーファー／クラフトマンたちが育ちました。サーファーが作るサーファーのためのサーフボード作りを信条に、作り手自身がビーチの優しい波からハワイのハードな波までテストを重ね、世界を旅して得た経験や日常のサーフシーンからのヒントを得て、’90年代には国産ブランドとしていち早く様々なサーフボードデザイン開発に取り組み始めました。時代の流れの中で楽しみながら生み出してきたデザインは現在27種類になりました。303はこれからも常にサーフィンのメインストリームに身を置き、丁寧なハンドメイドにこだわり、より良い製品作りのために努力を惜しまず、ユーザーの方々それぞれのスタイルに合ったサーフボード作りを目指していきます。

　

303 (Three O Three) was created in 1983 as a cozy surf shop in town and a small workshop by the beach crafting domestic-handmade surfboards. Kaifu, Shikoku, is the best environment to make and test surfboards because of it’s variety of novice to advance surf breaks. The surf shop became a hangout spot for people who enjoy surfing, and soon after, new surfers / craftsmen who shared the same fascination of Shikoku waves came out of the workshop.
Our principle is to create surfboards for surfers by surfers. The creator himself traveled all around the world, regularly testing his boards in soft waves to more challenging waves of Hawaii — this kickstarted the development of various designs of surfboards in the 90’s. Over the years of enjoying the process, he was able to produce 27 different models.
Our goal is for 303 to continue to always be a part of the surfing mainstream and to always follow its principle of carefully crafting custom quality domestic-handmade surfboards specific for each individual.
